There are many hazards on a fishing vessel some are:
Freezing sea spray, it ices up the deck making it slippery for the workers, and it freezes up the equipment, and makes the boat top heavy.
Fog, it reduces visibility making it hard to navigate the vessel.
Ice (pans, ice bergs) a hazard for navigation and hitting a solid pan or berg can cause severe damage.
Floating objects, when steaming at night floating objects that cant be seen can be hit and also cause severe damage such as sinking of the vessel.
Fire has seen on last page.
All of these hazards need to be identified so the workers are aware of them and can be cautious of them. Most of these hazards are beyond the control
of the workers like fog, so just knowing and heeding the hazards is important.
